Defibrillator (AED) & CPR
Enable candidates to deliver the safe application of an automated external defibrillation (AED) during an emergency situation.
All delegates also receive a course pack including a first aid manual and personal First Aid Kit.
Who should attend?
Those who have access to a defibrator within the workplace
First Aiders who wish to enhance their skills to be able to assist with delivery Defibrillation as part of the CPR protocol.

- Successfully demonstrate effectively the procedure for CPR.
- Demonstrate effectively the procedure for using an AED.
Course content
As an team leader in the use of a AED you will be able to deal with:
- A casualty with shock indicated
- A casualty with no Shock indicated
- An unknown Scenario Demonstrate effectively the procedure for using an AED as a single operator for:
- A casualty with shock indicated
- A casualty with no Shock indicated
- An unknown Scenario
Course duration
All candidates for the Emergency Responder must attend a four hour course of instruction and assessment.
